NICOCIG™ Circumvents the smoking ban
NICOCIG™ electronic cigarette can be legally used inside public places, where ordinary cigarettes are banned. The reason for this is simple. The health act 2006 states,
- “Smoking” refers to smoking tobacco or anything which contains tobacco, or smoking any other substance, and
- Smoking includes being in possession of lit tobacco or of anything lit, which contains tobacco, or being in possession of any other lit substance in a form in which it could be smoked.
With NICOCIG™ there is no tobacco and never is any part lit. The smoke that is exhaled is merely a combination of water and excess nicotine vapour, which does not smell nor linger like ordinary cigarettes. The fact that nicotine is present does not have any effect on whether it is allowed indoors or not.
