Invented in 2004, the electronic cigarette has already been through a life-time of technological advancements, styles and sizes. This brings us to the technology of today, naturally the next step was to provide atomisers for every cartridge and this is where the Cartomiser was born. STAYING WITH THE PARTY…AT CLERKENWELL HOUSE
Ever since the smoking ban hit the UK in 2007, the Bar and Restaurant industry has never been the same.
While some have built smoking shelters to protect their customers from the always beautiful British weather, it often means that smokers must leave the venue and endure standing alone outside until they finish their cigarette.
Clerkenwell House is a bar situated in the heart of London City has implemented a new idea……electronic smoking!
Electronic cigarettes or Nicocigs as they are known, mimic smoking to the extreme. Users will still get the nicotine hit that they crave, but the difference is that they contain no tobacco, and don’t need to be lit.
Probably the most amazing thing about this revolutionary product is that you actually exhale smoke! The smoke however is not like traditional cigarette smoke; it is an odourless water vapour. Ebru Al, the bar manager says,

E-Cigarettes: The New Frontier In War On Smoking
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) held a press conference late last month to scare Americans about the so-called “e-cigarette” — claiming it was loaded with harmful “toxins” and “carcinogens.” The agency was implicitly saying: Stay away from these newfangled, untested cigarette substitutes — better to stick with the real ones, the ones that we are more familiar with, the ones that cause over 450,000 deaths annually in the U.S.
In making its distorted, incomplete and misleading statement, FDA was violating its long-cherished tradition of sticking to sound science as the basis for its policies. And in doing so, it is putting the lives and health of millions of Americans at risk.
Boston University School of Public Health professor Michael Siegel says the FDA’s recent consumer warning was misleading because the agency found low levels of carcinogens in e-cigarettes.
“It is comparable to what is present in nicotine-replacement products, which are on the market, and, in fact, if you look at the actual levels of the carcinogens in electronic cigarettes, they’re about 1,400 times lower than in Marlboros,” he says.
More than 1 million smokers are now using the e-cigarette — a product that offers some, if not all, of the “social amenities” of the real thing — holding the cigarette, taking a drag, seeing a plume of “smoke.” The FDA, lacking data that e-cigarettes pose a health hazard, was so desperate, it called on consumers to phone in adverse side effects of e-cigarettes so they could begin to build a case against them and proceed with their intended ban. They neglected, however, to request smokers who successfully quit using the e-cigarette to also call in.
Ruyan the pioneers and patent holders of the electronic cigarette, have carried out initial safety tests on the product. Clinical trials are also said to be shortly under way to prove to the worlds regulatory bodies just how much electronic cigarettes can help smokers.
